View Full Version : 03 CBR600RR vs SRT4
240sx_is300 07-18-2007, 12:58 PM Hey guys. My buddy at work and I were just talking about running each other. I'm not going to do it becauseI'm to scared(just curious as to what you guys think). He has a SRT4 pushing 318hp/350tq to the wheels. I got a 03 600RR with two brother exhaust and K&N drop in filter. What do you guys think of the run from a 60 roll forward?
(If I have this in the wrong section I'm sorry)
urandaman 07-18-2007, 01:39 PM you will walk all over him... my buddy has a srt-4 also, its quick for being a skittle ha but no competition against the bike.. the turbo will be spooled up already tho, but you just have to be in the power band and you will take off...
b/y1000rr 07-19-2007, 11:04 PM shouldnt be close,my buddy with a 04 600rr with -1+2 gear and a yoshi slip on ran door to door with a 509whp EVO from a 60 even when he brake boosted 30psi on a gt37r,when i started from behind him and rolled past both by about 6-7 bikes or so,i started a little later than both and from behind.

b/y1000rr 07-19-2007, 11:05 PM the camera car is a sc61 big turbo srt4 BTW,on 18psi on pump gas, should be more hp and tq than the car you are interested in
ptowntsi 08-02-2007, 01:43 PM that is the dumbest question ever.
can a 600rr beat an SRT-4 are you joking??
a freakin corvette z06 can't beat a 600rr
PHXf4i 08-02-2007, 02:37 PM it will be no contest. enough said. unless you absolutely can't ride at all.
HAVOC 08-02-2007, 02:40 PM my 929 beat a z06 on the bottle .. you should kill that srt-4 .
Gville George 08-27-2007, 09:33 PM SRT4 are just dodge neons, why any one would buy one is a mystery, I can understand some pimple face highschool kid sooping his POS neon because momy gave it to him when she got a real car.
any ways, yes you would smoke him.
pezprince 09-05-2007, 01:15 PM No contest. If you can go from 0-60 in at LEAST 5 seconds then you are good enough to beat a SRT-4.
YO a dodge neon!!!! Come on atleast race somethin a DUDE would drive! Wait let me change that a straight dude would drive!
ROTHMANSF4I 09-11-2007, 12:07 PM hahaha, ill bet the guys on the SRT-4 forum are saying that your 600RR will get smoked... too funny
Tahoe SC 09-11-2007, 12:37 PM read the rules...this belongs in drag racing...this is for the non-squid type of racing.
Rubicon on 38s 09-17-2007, 01:51 PM Everyone dissn the SRT-4 needs to do some research. It costs 1/3 less than a WRX STI but has more than 2/3 the power. Its simple math people.

it's budget power...sometimes...people want more than just power on a budget...
as a driver, it's nice to be able to roll down the rear windows without getting out of your seat. the sti is also far sexier than the SRT-4.
Feared600RR 09-17-2007, 06:30 PM well .. unless that SRT-4 is running low 11's you wont have a problem .. i took my 07 600rr to the track for the first time 2 weeks ago and i was running 11.3's
Donohu40 09-18-2007, 10:11 AM I ran down an STI on the highway with my F3! i bet you could beat him from a 60 roll on if you started in 6th gear. well maybe not, but you still would have no problem beating him.... unless he has a super soaker full of oil...

Didn't you read his post??? He said the SRT was modded to 320hp/350ft lbs TO THE WHEELS!!!
An STI has like 280hp at the flywheel. This SRT-4 that he is talking about would smoke an STI.
Donohu40 09-19-2007, 12:24 PM Im sure it would smoke a stock sti, but it wouldn't smoke a 600RR. Especially from a roll because you won't have to worry about standin it up. From standing it would only be close if the rider got a bad start. Last time I checked an 03 RR is capable of 10.5's and it would take a lot more than just 320hp to get just about any car that fast.

Oh I know the RR would win but I bet It would be closer than everyone on this thread thinks. I've seen a VR-4 with a few bolt ons stay head to head with a 900RR (rolling starts on highway).
DWT74 11-04-2007, 05:14 PM Ive ran 2 SRT4s and a few vettes 07 and older. a viper (old man thought he would get out on me at a redlight) many mustangs including cobras and all of them have yet to give me a run, the geeks in the SRT4s and grocery shopper winged 4 cylinder cars seem to think they can out run anything on the road. I would not worry just run the gears out just before the limiter and shift and hold on.:D
volcomrr 11-04-2007, 06:47 PM I beat a 05 Pontiac GTO rolling, it had roughly 400hp, it didn't stand a chance, but I would have to say that GTO's are rather heavy
donniekak 12-21-2007, 08:52 PM Take it to the track a few more times and you should run about 10.6. I run 11.3 on my 98 yzf600r. I havent taken my f4i yet but from the difference in feel i expect to run about 10.9. BTW you should smoke anything without slicks on it let alone anything that steers and pulls with the same wheels. Oh and one more hint about racing people, if they want to go from a roll they can't drive.

They are damn heavy. 15-20-ish year old stock IROC-Z camaros walk all over them. But partly because chevy owns.
But think of this, bikes are so damn light, making loads of power, they trounce most things on the road. You can spend 30k on a car, not including the car, or buy a 10 grand bike and stomp it. Power to everyone on 2 wheels.(or one)

at 4:40 you'll see your 11 sec srt4, just watch the whole thing. never shows it smoking a bike but its not a slow car
f3racer 12-30-2007, 02:38 PM even better
