I actually don't know the right word to ask, but I'll try:
Do anyone hereknow if it's some kind of "filling" in the CBR 125? With filling, I mean something in the engine that makes it go slower. I've had my 125 up to 119 km/t (73,94 mp/hI think it is).
If you wonder; I didn'tride that fast in my neighbourhood, but on the highway :)
BTW, I hope for american that the 125's will arrive to you soon :)

I think your "filling" is just a small 125cc engine. They don't have that much power, and are built for city commuting primarily. It's actually pretty good that you got it to 75 mph.

As far as I know the 'filling' (its called restriction or governing) on the 125R is in the exhaust. If you change the exhaust you'll get a slightly higher top speed.
It'll sound meaner too :)

Hey I just bought a 125 as well red and black I had people in my course who bought them as well the will do 130 - 140 km/h I haven't tried just started riding mine having a bit of trouble getting use to the gear shifting it is really jerky for me. But they will do highway speeds in Ontario I wouldn't want to take it out on the 401 where people ar doing 120 regular speed on the highway because these bikes don't handle well in the wind and that is from 125 owners who had problems on a windy day or get stuck behind a big truck.

Hi,i have a cbr125 an ive pushed it to 165kph(103mph)They do have restictions on the bike,i changed my exhaust system because it had metal washers spot welded in place to stop the exhaust gases flowing properly. Also i changed the jets and put bigger ones to allow more fuel to the engine and last i put in a k+n filter.

165kph on a CBR125 only with those mods? damn fast bike you got there!
i ride a CBR 150R, stock goes only up to 140kph...
with current specs (28mm carb, non-limiter CDI, 14 front sprocket, DBS exhaust), i can go as fast as 170kph...
maybe if i'm lighter and swap to smaller tires i can yield higher top speed, but IMO the point of riding a 125/150 isn't the top speed... it's about the quick acceleration, ease of moving in-between cars during traffic jams, and flicking through many corners. especially really fun when carving through the twisties and outrunning many 600's and 1000's, hehehe...
just my $.2 ...

I wish they'd dump the 1000+ classes of bike here in favor of the 125 and 250's that you guys get in other countries. that little CBR250 looks WICKED.

I got my cbr 125 up to 145 km/h.... everyone tells me it can't go over 120, which is B.S. andI even still have the limiter on it. I bet with a K&N in it, I could get to 155-160. Although on a 125, that would be freaky..

To end my last post, the top speed of a bike depends on the rider if you ask me.

some interest on 176 cc. Spain, France, UK, Italy, sweden, all europe, australia.

I've got a 49cc Honda Spree that tops out at 32MPH, and it takes it a bit to get there. 75MPH @ 125cc sounds good to me. 125cc is not meant for highway use, as you're realy cranking the engine at that point.

well my honda cbr 125r can reach 180km/h i have a 177cc big bore kit 28mm keihnin carb upjet K&N air filter 14T front sprocket full racing CDI (might change the whole electrics to a inner rotor from the 4t125 full race honda) racing clutch plates and racing clutch springs racing CAMs and endurance or DBS exhaust system depends on the sound i want :). might change to a twin valve head if itll support the cylinder.. very fast came from 14.5hp to about 24hp. where i live i really dont have the space to open the engine up but in 6th gear about 50000 rpm's its about 180-185k

Hello all,, To set the record straight, the 2007 to 2009 CBR 125's have Fuel Injection. So yes your bike is fast for a 125 it has been modded(big bore kit) and the carb has been modified too along with the CDI unit. With E.F.I. the 07 and up CBR 125's are harder(at this point) to modify because the aftermarket venders haven't developed products ,,yet. So a STOCK 125 R will reach about 140 KM/HR or about 80 MPH. The CBR 150 R 's are made for the Asian market and have a 4 valve head (125 R has a 2 valve head). So the 150 R is rated at about 18 HP(stock) and the 125 R is rated at about 13.5 HP (stock) L.Potter

Ah! Finally, we've got our own 125cc area:)

119 km/t on highway? that wasnt much, that must have been in headwind?
i had mine do 135 kmt with a bit tailwind, if the road is long enogh it do 140 kmt and thats it you gain a lot if you shrink on the tank, sorry my bad english
i miss more torque on it, therefor i want a cylinderkit that will give 4-5 HK, which is fine for me, and then a other sprocket 1 tooth

You can go with just a Cylinder kit and get 160cc. Best bet would be Complete Cylinder and Head with Bigger Valves and Camshaft. All depends on what you need and want.
