What's good! Not directly in NYC, but born and raised in the Bronx. I usually ride in New Rochelle & all around NYC!

Ever venture off upstate...Rt 9? Bear Mountain area?

NJ here....how do you like riding in the city? I've gone to NY a few times on the bike and it's always chaos....

The city is an experience. You have to mentally prepare yourself for Manhattan. I don't do it often, but when I do - I enjoy it. Sure, it can be chaos - to say the least - but it's also could be a very cool experience. Gotta remember to be on guard, alert, and on the defense.

So when is NY/NJ gettin together for a group cbr ride/meet??????

It's about twenty times better than driving in the city. And maybe a hundred times better when it's time to look for parking.

I'm in for a group ride, but I need to keep it relaxed because I'm not trying to get any more tickets.

just picked it up about 6 days ago or so.

originally from orange county so i'm familiar with most of the best riding spots in the area.

1. route 9
2. bear mountain
3. 293
4. West Point --> Corwall run (forget name of road, but it's after 293)
5. There's a few roads after the bear mountain bridge that are rediculous for tight twisties

anyway i currently reside in Harlem in the dorms at CCNY, look me up if anyone wants to go out for the day, i'm always down.

im in for a ride, and im sure i can scrounge up a few more to join in

I work for Champion Honda in Hicksville, Ny (Nassau,long island) We have club rides once a month..
On june 24th we will be going from The shop (hicksville) to Bear mountain...Anyone in the area is welcome to join..PM me for more info....

As far as a cbrforum meet, we should try to organize something for july so everyone has time to prepare

Anybody in the NYC/Long Island area, post up again. I saw all kinds of suggestions about setting up a ride, but it doesn't look like it ever happened. I am usually working weekends and stuck solo on my weekday rides around town.

NYErion929...what club are these rides with?? just a group of friends or an organized Club? I haven't seen much online in the way of sportbike clubs that do anything more than parking lot burnouts and wear grafitti covered colors...

whats up everyone. Long Beach, Long Island here. me and my boys get together usually every weekend for a ride. And wednesday nights we meet up at Nathan's in Oceanside for car night and ride out from there. I try to go on a good ride every weekend but between running my business , having a baby and of course winter coming, those days are becoming less and less. Anybody else from the area? Always lookin for more to ride with.

Suffolk county here...I keep checking this section, but I guess not many people post up here from NY. Where's the Nathan's in Oceanside? Are the lots of bikes? And what time? I've been looking for something like that, We don't have much like that out here that I know of.

on Long Beach Rd in Oceanside. About 1 and a half miles south of Sunrise Hwy.

Massapequa, Long island.....

i sometimes go over to the nathans too, but usually jus go for rides through the north shore twisties...
also make sunday trips to bear mtn or harriman state park upstate...only takes about 1 hr. from massapequa
