Are there any tricks to putting on a tank pad other than just cleaining the areasticking it on there? Should I heat up the adhesive first?

Both times I only used alchohol to clean area then put it on. They both went on simple. However taken them off is different. I took the first one off and a couple flakes of paint came with it. Usin a hair dryer to warm glue probably would have avoided that.

stick it upside down from maximum coverage...seriously.

I just got a Harris CBR tank pad protector, before I had nothing and my black leather stained an area of my tank. It cleaned right off but it was a good indication as to what area needed to be covered. The Harris sticky seemed to provided adaquate coverage.

Anyway, after stiking mine on there I noticed in just a couple spots it didn't stick 100% on the edge. I hope it doesn't get worse...

Cleaned the area w/ a little alcohol then put it on. Went right on and seems to be on there solidly.[sm=wootwoot.gif]

like everyone else has already stated.....clean the area w/ soap and water, then take a hair dryer and heat up the tank pad you plan to apply to the tank. get it warm enough to soften the glue and make the tank pad limp. then, line it up how you want it and smack'er on!
