Gotta a question? My bike got a flat in the back tire a week ago. Right now I can't really afford to replace the tire. I am in the military and in 3 weeks I am headed away for 12 months. My question is, Will the bike be okay sitting on flat or do I really need to find a way to get it replaced nefore I leave? The bike will garage kept while I am gone. Will there be any damage to the rim if it sits? If I don't have to replace it then I don't want to'cus I can't really afford it right now. Please let me know. Any help is appreciated.

It's not going to hurt the rim. If it has a hole you can plug it or if you have a rear stand just prop it up till you get back. Do not putfix a flat in it bacause it eats up aluminum.

Shroom, i'm not really sure what all the hostility is for? If you ask me, it's a pretty valid question from someone that might not have alot of technical knowledge. FPKIDS---as a fellow soldier and rider i wish you the best of luck.
