;) Has anyone ever used Duramix to repair a fairing? I bought #4040 and the directions say I need to buy 5 other products like adhesion promoter and some other stuff. Is this necessary to fix cracks or a hole in my fairing?

There's a detailed post on how to repair fairings using Permatex Plastic Weld. I'm sure a search would turn it up as well as a few other posts worth reading.

Check out this site, http://www.plastex.ca It seems pretty impressive and it's all incusive, no need to buy other stuff. It comes in many different formats. I just had someone pick some up for me and I will try fixing a couple of broken tabs on my fairing within the next two weeks. I will keep you posted on how well it works!

I tried that plastex stuff and it worked out pretty well but putting the stuff on was a trick. I didn't hold up at all though when I dropped the bike so I guess it's not very permanent. I used the duramix 4040 by itself (with my homemade gun ie. two dowel rods:)) and that stuff is great. Kind of a pain to get set up but it is literally liquid plastic. It seems to be a lot stronger than the plastex and it holds up to drilling and sanding.
