S2KmtzCBR 02-28-2007, 07:55 AM step by step bindelsf2 02-28-2007, 08:19 AM REAR 1. loosen up the bolts that hold your rear suspension linkage on your bike 2. have a friend lean the bike on the kickstand b) you remove the old linkage and install the lowering link 3. put the bolts in it and put the bike back on the tires 4. tighten all the nuts to torque FRONT 1. only do one side at a time! 2. mark and measure the tube for the front shock 3. loosen up the clipon 4. loosen the lower bolts for the trees that hold the tube on 5. loosen the top bolt slowly and let the tube slowly slide up (keep stopping and taking measurements) 6. keep taking measurement (if lowering the rear 1" go 1 1/4" in the front) 7.tighten everything back up and do the other side. if i forgot anything i am sure that someone will point it out, there are some 600RR guys on here that have lowered bikes. i am sure you read everything on it changing the center of gravity and affecting handling and all that, but i am sure you will get alot of that but remember its your bike and you can do what you want! S2KmtzCBR 02-28-2007, 08:33 AM wow that was very nice of you, thank you very much i'll post some pics after iam done...thanks again |
