Default Has anyone ever tried these???

Has anyone ever tried these "axle" spools for a rear stand?

http://cgi.ebay.ca/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?...;rd=1&rd=1

I realize they're no good for changing a tire, but I only need them for routine maintenance (ie chain lube, tightening) and I was wondering how stable they are.

Those would be all good if you didn't ever need to remove your tire. I suppose they are ok for quick chain maint.

+1^

just get a stand that has the pads and the spool hooks. If you're gonna get spools might as well get them welded otherwise the stand is gimped.

Just get a steel rod and run it through............Just as easy and a lot cheaper.
