Okay, here's the score....I've always loved Ducatis...just as much as, if not more than, Hondas. Fell in love with the Monoposto 916 but couldn't afford it back then (1994). Just had to get my fix by watching Foggy (Carl Fogarty) take two back-to-back superbike championships on that magnificent machine. So life's good and I just got a promotion, so I'm thinking of moving up in the world to a Duc. Anyone else have a Duc as a second bike? I intend to keep my F4i as the dependable and fun daily driver that it is.

those 749's are badass! i love 'em and would add to my collection if the budget allowed ;) i know a guy who's got one but he's a fashion rider and only takes it up and down the street on perfect days... scared to get it dirty. what a waste of bike!!!!!!

Yeah, I can kind of understand that. The Duc is a different kind of bike. I couldn't even see myself customizing it except for some titanium bolts or something like that. Even switching out the exhaust would take away that patent Duc growl. I fully understand your neighbor only taking it out in fair weather. Since it's mostly sunny here in El A, I don't think I'll have much of a problem riding year 'round.

Be prepared for the maintance $$$$$$ shock... valve adjusts, tune'n, parts... Insurance may suck too. I've got a 75 860gts, right hand shift, conti pipes, mint... SLURP, SLURP, DROOL... YOU KNOW !!!!!!!!!! there truely are a wonderfull ride and family of excelence. Term's are a bit $$$$$ exaust, but will only enhance that growl !!!!!!! They are an investment that usualy holds value, while eat'n your cake too!!!!! My dad works with a few guys that have Ducatis. They all track them too;) I'll be hitting Mosport with them in the future I'm sure!
