Where is the best place to get some chrome wheels. I'm trying to find a place where they will ship their wheels to me first and then i send them mine after that. Because i don't want to be without a bike for over a week.

Thanks
joe

Good luck finding a place to do that, most places want you to pay them around $500 per set, you ship them yours then they send you a set that matches they already have chromed. It doesnt take a week though if you express shipping.
Try e-bay there are a few really reputable companies on there. If you dont like that, go to your local dealer and ask the tech guys there, they will know who locally can do them.
Hope that gives you a little insight, I can't remember who on e-bay I bought mine from for my RC it was a few years ago.

Yea as the girl has spoken, your best bet is to go to your local dealer and get the referral.

The reason they won't do it is because people send them bent mags which are useless. at that point they charge you more for the cost of the initial mag. The $500 is strictly for the chrome. They might bend if you give them a deposit for the price of the mags.

I just did that with my wheels. Theres a place in Texas called chrome pros plating www.chromeprosplating.com. They will send you the wheels first but you have to give them a core deposit first. I had to send them 400 for the core deposit. They do a really good job on the wheels. The set of chrome wheels costed me $600 which seems to be the going rate.
Hope that helps.

chrome pros plating in texas.. do a exchange process, they send you the new wheels first so you have no real down time, cost about 600 bucks, i did it for my 954, GREAT quality, worth every penny

has anyone out there thought of aftermarket rims? i myself dream of getting a 10 spoke magnesium marchesini wheel. aside from the obvious hurdle of spending over $2500. i still dont think anything looks as good

i wanted to get any colour i could get my grubby little hands on. i love them. one of my favourite things about the italian bikes is that they come with them from the factory.
i'm in australia, so unfortunately, to buy a brand new one its $2500, rear only.
