If it has one, replace it. Sounds like it's clogged and that'll do that. Check over the petcock to make sure it works properly. Could even be the fuel pump. I beleive the 88's had a fuel pump. Yeah, it is running out of gas somewhere, just a matter finding where. From the tank to the carbs, check everything in between. eye toke 07-19-2006, 02:00 AM it was my low pressure fuel pump it would heat up then die replaced it with a $160 honda pump runs great. thanks rippn 07-19-2006, 03:28 AM Howdy, is there a vacume line pinched, to the petcock??? is there a vent,to the tank... when it stops again... pop the cap, and listen for a whoosh. honda manuels should show vent/vacume lines, and routing. also there should be a test, for pump rate... so many oz's per seconds. cheaper to diagnose than replace. Good luck!!!!!! Clean and free, Ripp'n |
