I have just been experincing a "bogging" problem where the bike ( 03 954) will act like it is starving for fuel or air and cuts out for a second and then picks back up and runs normally. The problem has gotten worse to include shutting down, whith the ablitity to start back up. Any ideas on what direction to go in to fix the problem before I tear it all apart? Air filter, fuel pump, pressure regulator? Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

you may want to check your battery terminals first to make sure everything is tight. if that doesn't work what is the last thing you did to the bike? could be bad fuel.

Additionally, I failed to mention that the condition appeared to happen or be associated with bumps in the road at times?

I thought that it might be bad fuel, but have run two tanks through the bike trying to prove that theory, the problem still exists. In reference to what modifications that I have done to the bike, with the exception of 27K miles on the bike the hard way, and routine maintenance, is putting on a D&D.

I finally got around to trouble shooting my bike and all the cables for the battery and electrical were good. What I found to be the problem was my kickstand switch was faulty in addition to being really dirty. Once I fixed the switch no more problems. So if anyone else has a similar problem, I would suggest adding checking the kickstand switch to the list of possibilities of something electrical if experiencing problems.
