Hey everybody! First post so be easy. I am looking for my first bike so today I went to two local bike shops. I was looking at a Honda CBR 600RR, and the price was 9100 (no negotiating). I really liked the honda it was black on black, pipe was under the seat which I think looks great. But the price seemed a little high for a 600 ecspecially because after that I went to suzuki and was offered a gsxr 750 for 9300, the dealer gave me this price after I told him what Honda priced me. Now I know there may be a bias here being a CBR site, but what do you guys think? I am really new to bikes so all the info provided is greatly appreciated. I was trying to look for a used bike but Delaware isn't exactly the hot spot for bikes. Thanks!!!!!

 

Well first off what you need to do is Ride both of them and see which one you like better. I personally have ridden both of the bikes you have listed and I would lean towards the CBR. for 2 reasons...1: It's a Honda and they hold good value and run forever 2: Look at the price difference in the two down the road and now, there is a reason the Honda is more expensive, because it is a better built bike...........This statement is just an opinion, there may be others who differ with me but that is just my .02

 

The seat on the CBR was really uncomfortable[&:] is there anything I could do about that? It may sound stupid but can you buy new seats?

 

You bet, I had to replace the seats on my CBR 929, you can get Corbin seats or Sargent seats, or even take it to an upholstry shop and they can repad it for you......

 

As far as seats go... Honda prob has the crappyest seat around, BUT you can go corban or sargent. I can't stand gxrs! URRRGGGHHH! welcome to the site! let us know what the verdict ends up being!
