View Full Version : Angel eyes...
usndocjaysin 03-19-2005, 01:34 PM Now dont hate aight! I know that there's these thing called "angel eyes" (i think) and day for yammies. i think day look siq and am toying wid da idea of try'n to do sum red ones on my bike. any one wid knowldege if it would even work, think a good idea, etc... lemme know ya'll!
chainstretcher 03-19-2005, 02:35 PM Here's a pic of the R1/R6 http://i7.ebayimg.com/02/i/02/da/1b/b4_1_b.JPG . I couldn't find 'em in red and I couldn't find any for the CBR. I think with some imagination you could make the R1's fit and look cool. If ya did find some red ones ya couldn't ride at night.
damn chain, those look awesome, where did you find them?
MapJr 03-19-2005, 04:42 PM I've seen them before and they are off the chain...
chainstretcher 03-19-2005, 05:08 PM found 'em on e-bay. I'm happy with my HID and when I install the 2nd one later today I'll be content with my lighting situation. Those angel eyes are pretty cool though.
usndocjaysin 03-20-2005, 03:18 PM Hey ya'll,
Here's da site where dis guy does em if you send em in to him, but it looks like day are only fer da yammies[:@] pix of red ---> http://www.highbimmin.com/Pics/TwoEyes5.JPG Da main site---> http://www.highbimmin.com/mods.htm I found a site on how to do the whole thing and it looks pretty easy but is just time consuming. So here's my question Stretch... HID lights are those utra brite ones right? Do they have a circular ring AROUND the light? Cuz dat looks like it's da only way to mount em. Looked at my bike and it's a no go cuz da stock bulb is occluded by this "visor" kinda lookin thang. Wuddya think?
chainstretcher 03-20-2005, 03:59 PM No Halo on the HID's just gobs of light. I work midnite shift so 90% of my riding is at night and I like to be able to see. The 'visor' you're referring to is what adjusts the beam up and down by bouncing the light off the mirrored back. The Yammies prolly have the same setup. The Angel Eyes bulbs must have another way to adjust the beam cause you'd have to remove the reflector in order to get the halo affect.
chainstretcher 03-20-2005, 04:00 PM Oh, those red angel eyes are the shiznit dude. Looks like a frikkin demon bike.
man! too bad he doesnt do it for cbrs.... :(
el_super_dan 04-13-2005, 08:49 PM hey my friend has the red angel eyes on his r1. Not sure if they mention in the add but the angel eyes are not visible when the headlights are on. The headlight drowns out the angel eye light. I'll try to get a pic of my friends bike so u guys/gals can see.
kingofme 06-23-2005, 01:05 AM Ive seen a site were they put the whole headlight unit from a r6 to fit on the cbr 600 angel eyes in all>will try to find again to post up

rob1630 03-31-2006, 11:18 PM www.customdynamics.com.... great lights there
Blue Fox 09-16-2006, 10:30 AM They look freaking sick. Just wish I didn't have to take apart the headlight housing. If I break it, it would cost me a freaking fortune to replace the headlight assembly. But they do look freaking cool. Just wish there was a "parking lights" feature on these bikes. The only time the headlight would come on is when you put the kickstand up. That would be a cool mod to see.

HighRevver 09-30-2006, 11:22 PM angel eyes...they may look cool but unless you have a show bike they're completely pointless....They are on when the engine isn't running...they aren't running likes they are strictly for looks when the bike is sitting and off.
