confused with exhaust installation
hey
my two brothers slip on exhaust is on the way i'm tryin to unistall my exaust on my cbr 1000 but there is a metal box welded on to my exhaust with two cables. Do I need that box in my new slip on when it comes?
never delt with that box before.

Check out the above link if you want to learn more about the exhaust control valve you’re talking about. Everything I've read says the ECV is there so Honda can pass EPA/NTSB standards or what ever regulating authority regulates noise emission standards. You won’t hurt a thing if you remove it properly. Just be sure to leave the servo on the engine which is the part the cables connect back to.
