where to get an oil filter (also question about shell rotella 5w40 synthetic)

where to get an oil filter (also question about shell rotella 5w40 synthetic)
where do i get a decent oil filter? would any autoparts store carry one? the nearest honda dealership is a pretty long ride.
also i searched for shell synthetic, and read every thread on it. i think alot of the threads were older too. ive got a few questions yet, and wouldnt mind hearing about what kinda miles people are putting on using this, since i do a ridiculous amount of mileage (about 700/week)
1. its 5w40, but the manual recommends 10w40, is this a big deal?
2. molly? im assuming since a good amount of people use it, it doesnt have molly, does the bottle say this though? it would make me feel better if this was on the bottle.
3. also is there any alternative version of this, like shell rotella w/ ???, that if i accidentally picked up would ruin my clutch. it makes me nervous that it doesnt say "motorcycle oil" on it

My boyfriend, who used to be a bike mechanic, and is now an auto mechanic, uses rotella in all 5 of the bikes he owns as well as his mother's brand new bike. I run it in mine, and so does my brother, who is a diesel mechanic, so he knows a lot about Rotella, since diesel motors is what its made for. It meets or exceeds every requirement for motorcycle grade oils, so you'll be fine running that in your bike.
As far as the oil filter, you should be able to find one at just about any parts store. And if your worried about the price of an OEM filter, most dealerships will offer another brand filter as well, you just have to ask. We carry hi-flow and K&N filters, which are both normally cheaper than OEM and just as good. Actually, most of our employees run hi-flow filters in their bikes and recommend them to customers all the time.
