Default led turn signal resistor

Where should I not put the resistor. It says they get hot but how hot exactly?

They get pretty farkin hot if you leave the signals on for extended periods of time. I put mine in the tail with some of the metallic heat shield stuff zip tied around them. It's also a good idea to make sure they can't move around. The heat can cause the wire to break off right at the ceramic if it wiggles too much
