I also made some wooden extensions that slide into jack stands that I slip under the engine mount where the frame sliders mount to hold the front end up off the ground. It allow me fork removal etc. I use track/paddock stands to "get it up" then lower it onto the four jack stands. Also solid non folding rearsets are a nice place to put jack stands under.

Just the other day I made a wooden center stand. My only 4 jack stands I had to use to get the 94 up in the air for winter to bring the mounted race slicks in the house. So I get the 91 up on race stand, lay a 2 by 6 on the ground under the factory center stand mounting holes, measure down to the 2 by 6 from the bottom of the mounting holes. Then I drilled a 3/4 inch hole in a 2 by 4, cut that in half right through the hole I drilled. Then sawed those off to the number in got when I measured from the bottom of the mount holes to the 2 by 6. Then mounted them to the 2 by 6 wide enough to be on the outside of the mounting holes but no to wide the get in the way of the side stand and exhaust. Then attached some bracing. Abracadabra! Slide the tire iron through the holes, put new wooden stand under bike right behind tire iron, lift bike with race to the highest point and roll bike back a little and lower on new wooden stand. Remove race stand. Stable as hell. Next will be something like this for the front once I get frame sliders installed.
