Default Turbo 1000RR

You asked for it, you got it! Here's a kit for the 1000RR. Turbo 1000RR Kinda pricey but HP ain't cheap. I have e-mailed the dude with questions -- we'll see how good the customer service is.

Disclaimer: I have no personal experience with this company. They may be fantastic or they may be crap. Before sending huge wads of $$ check them out thoroughly!!!

Not me, my friend. This is just informational for whomever is interested. Had to have surgery on the right shoulder from all the torque of yee olde turbo -- not interested in having the left one done This place is saying 240+ HP. On a bike as light as the RR that's gotta be wicked[sm=badbadbad.gif]

I'm waiting for feedback from the dudes. From what they've got posted I suspect this is a sub 8# setup -- probably set up at 6#. Good for short blasts up to ludicrous speed but not long distance high speed. I'll let ya know what they say.

Well they responded quickly but I wasn't real happy with the answer. He didn't address my spacer or charge cooling questions. Said they made 300 HP at 12# and made several top end runs with 17/38 gearing. Without reducing compression or cooling the intake charge I don't see how you could run at extended high speeds without melting a piston -- 12# in 1000cc's is a bunch of boost. The only other semi-safe alternative is to take out gobs of timing. But that will only work for so long.

SEVERAL top end runs...on a stock 1000cc bottom end...at 12# of boost...sounds like a recipe for a bomb...

WOW! This is an old post! I just started working at Cycle Logic Motorsports a few months ago.
I am their CNC Machinist, we make all our own billet products and such.

Was just curious about the outcome of your conversation about the CBR 1000 Turbo Kit?

I know we are installing themon a regular basis, probably 6 since I started here. One for Roaring Toyz
Project H Bike, soon to be in the magazines.

I don't know of anyone who has been unhappy with their kit. Our bike that we used to build the kit has well
over 1000 Turbo miles on it with no problems. I know we also only run at about 7# of boost, maybe
back in 05 they tried 12#, but from everything I have been told, you need an engine rebuild to get that high.

What spacer were you addressing?
Charge cooling? You talking about an intercooler setup?

We also have a Turbo Kit for the ZX-14 that is really nice!

Fast enough? [sm=nxsmile.gif]LOL Everyone always wants to go faster! Take the Maxton Mile for instance. They try to break 200 mph in 1 mile, badass!
